The Dudley Group is the main provider of hospital and adult community services to the populations of Dudley, significant parts of the Sandwell borough and smaller, but growing, communities in South Staffordshire and Wyre Forest. We provide a wide range of medical, surgical and rehabilitation services to a population of around 450,000 people from three hospital sites at Russells Hall Hospital, Guest Outpatient Centre in Dudley and Corbett Outpatient Centre in Stourbridge, as well as in community clinics and patients’ homes across the borough. The Trust provides the full range of secondary services and some specialist services for the wider populations of the Black Country and West Midlands region. 

We are now looking for a talented and ambitious Executive Director of Finance, who can build on our achievements and help us develop a vision of continuous service improvement, innovation and transformation, while maintaining a viable and efficient future. We aim to identify an outstanding individual who can provide corporate financial leadership to the Trust Board and operate as an integral part of the Trust’s executive team. As a suitable candidate you will be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering strong financial performance within a healthcare setting. You will also have the acumen and credibility to assure the Board that the Trust has robust financial governance.

This role will be pivotal in supporting the development of the Trust’s services and therefore candidates must have a clear strategic vision and be able to demonstrate implementation and delivery of this strategic vision in a successful environment. Another key aspect of the role will be collaborative working across the wider healthcare system. As a result we will expect candidates to be able to evidence previous experience and success in forging and developing new and mutually beneficial partnerships. 

Although currently rated by the CQC as ‘Requires Improvement’ we are a confident and ambitious Trust with aspirations to be recognised as one of the leading Trust’s in the country.
